From heartbreak to healing, Anne McDowell has a few starting steps to bouncing back stronger and being more fabulous than you were before


Are you currently trying to navigate your way from heartbreak to healing? Navigating the stormy seas of heartbreak can be tough, and sometimes it feels like all you’re doing is treading water, waiting for the next big wave of drama to come and knock you off your feet again


But fear not, today, there is a beacon of hope to help you rise from heartbreak to healing in the form of change and resiliency coaching from me, Anne McDowell, The Positivity and Transformation Specialist. Strap in, because we’re about to help you focus on what you need to do to embark on a journey of resilience, self-discovery, and bouncing back stronger than ever before


So, here it is…a journey of healing starts with acknowledging the pain. I understand that your heartbreak is real, raw and downright painful – I know this because I’ve been through this many times myself, so I’m coming from a place of full-on empathy, and also the feelings of satisfaction and pride in yourself when you can overcome these overwhelming feelings of pain and despair


In navigating your way from heartbreak to healing, I want you to lean into those painful emotions of what happened, and to also let yourself feel every twist and turn of the rollercoaster ride that is this healing journey. Denying or just ignoring the pain at this first critical stage is not the right way forward. Because only by acknowledging the pain can you begin to heal…but, there’s a trick to this so that you don’t get stuck in that pain


Being vulnerable and tapping into the pain is a superpower, just as strength and resilience is too – you should have a lot of tools in your “bouncing back toolkit”, because there are times and situations where each tool is needed. I believe it is good to let your guard down and show your wounds and scars, but my advice is to be very careful about who you show them to. Someone independent and unbiased, such as a coach like me is someone you can trust to give you honest and constructive advice, with no hidden agendas


Allowing yourself to be vulnerable to someone like a coach is a sign of strength, courage and resilience – feedback from my clients have said that they feel protected in our space, to cry and talk about their feelings and their fears, and that feeling is what you need to find in a coach who will help you get back to being you.  If I could bottle it to give to you I would, but that feeling only comes when you build up a trust with someone like a coach – sadly it isn’t a product that I can just pull of a shelf and pack up to send to you


Just remember that you do not have to navigate the journey from heartbreak to healing alone. Family members and friends will always give you love and guidance, however just be aware their love and advice often comes from what they feel is best for you to do, not what you think is really best for you.  This often leads to their discontent or judgement if you decide that you don’t take their advice as a course of action – that’s why talking to an independent person helps you more, because the only person that a coach is thinking about is you. Coaches are there to remind you of your value, independent of family dynamics and expectations


Heartbreak shakes us to our core, but it also presents you with an opportunity for self-discovery and growth.  I encourage you to rediscover who you really are, and what you really want in your life ahead.  The pathway to your life ahead is filled with possibility and opportunity


So, in navigating the rocky terrain and going from heartbreak to healing, remember that you are not alone, and you are so much stronger than you currently give yourself credit for
