Our thoughts impact on our success.  Our thoughts have everything to do with our success

Whether we realise it or not, we have choices on, and control over, every second of our lives – what we think, what we say, what we do, how we act, how we behave, whether we choose to do something, whether we choose not to do something, these are all choices, and with choices come consequences!

You’ve heard the saying “when life throws you lemons, make lemonade”.  The problem is that most people fall into the negative pattern of “when life throws you lemons, all you have is lemons = sour = pain = never ending problem”.  Negative thoughts tend to then overwhelm us, and it’s often hard to see a way forward.  You’ll hear the classic “why me?”, “just when I was getting ahead….”, “I take 2 steps forward and 3 backward all the time!”

When we are encountering difficulties, these negative thoughts and feelings start to take over, and during this time we suddenly seem to forget how to be problem solvers, and we just become problem dwellers, and problem re-tellers.  We can get caught up so much in sharing and re-telling the problem, that we forget that we should be working on how to solve the problem

Have you heard of the expression “self-fulfilling prophesy”?  It simply means that whatever you believe, will be.  If you believe that you are totally powerless in a situation, then you will be.  If however, you believe that you have choices (choices over what you think, say, do, how you behave etc), then you empower yourself with those choices, even in a difficult or problematic situation

Either way, our thoughts on a situation determine the outcome and whether it is positive or negative.  I teach people how to be empowered even in a disempowering situation, so that even a negative situation can be turned into a positive outcome

Change, whether we like it or not, is a constant in our lives. I understand that navigating your way through these changes is sometimes easy, and sometimes downright difficult

Whether you are adapting to a shift in personal circumstances, or adapting to a new work environment, or you’ve experienced a change so unexpected and huge that it’s left you hurt and bewildered, I’ve been there, done that too

Bouncing back from unexpected change, whether they be big or small, can be tough.  What makes it hard is that it catches us off guard and leaves us feeling uncertain, confused and not confident about the future.  How we respond to change is important – we can resist it, making it worse for ourselves, or we can find a way to see how it can benefit us, and then move on with it

Consider face-to-face coaching, or digital coaching if you are time poor – getting back to being a great problem solver is your key to thriving in an ever changing world…you are stronger than you think
